ABB Concert FB Cover - Oman 2019 - B

The Annapolis Big Band and Dawn Oman Art Gallery invite you to “Autumn Leaves”, an evening of music on Sunday, October 20 starting at 7:30pm in Bridgetown, NS.

Well known as the music behind the annual “Moonlight in Paradise” event each August, the Annapolis Big Band is a 17 piece swing orchestra playing a broad repertoire of music from the 30’s and 40’s to more recent times. “Autumn Leaves” will include a wide range of music from swing to funk and will feature vocalists Margo Corkum and Andy Duinker.

Located at 298 Granville Street in Bridgetown, Nova Scotia, the Dawn Oman Art Gallery is a unique space created by Dawn Oman and Scott Henderson. It is described as “an artist gallery, and a musical and performance space where amazing things happen”. The Annapolis Big Band performed in this same space a decade ago when it was an active church, and members are excited to have the opportunity to return to the space in its new format.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Advance tickets are available at the Dawn Oman Art Gallery or at the Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens. For further information, call 902-588-2002.

Our friend, Chris

On Friday, our band lost a family member. Words cannot express how much Chris meant to the Annapolis Big Band, and to each of the members personally. We feel privileged to have had Chris in our lives.

May the music that was ever part of Chris’ life bring healing to his family and friends.
