August 13, 2011, a great time for a trip to Paradise in the Annapolis Valley, to hear the Annapolis Big Band perform the great tunes of the 30’s and 40’s outside under the stars for your listening and dancing pleasure. Beginning at 7:30 pm on the grounds at Ellenhurst 10252 Highway #1 Paradise the band and singer Donna Lynn Holmes will be featured in the annual Moonlight Concert. Come bring lawn chairs and perhaps a picnic and enjoy this live performance of the fabulous music as played by the Big Bands of the time such as Count Basie, Duke Ellington Tommy & Jimmy Dorsey, Glenn Miller and others.
A donation in support of the Paradise Community Hall will be appreciated. Free parking is available on the grounds at Ellenhurst and on site transportation is provided for people needing assistance. The Moonlight Concert is a magical evening of music between 7:30pm and 11 pm in a wonderful outdoor setting. Rain date is the following evening.
